Through extensive use of open
source software, I am able to efficiently provide solutions for a rather broad field
of computing requirements, mostly targeted at server backends.

Customization
The readily available source code allows me to provide completely customized solutions
without the effort of starting from scratch. Still, in many cases the licenses make it
possible for you to keep the customizations inside your company, especially if you do
not plan to re-distribute the software.
Community Software
A completely different approach is to try to get customizations integrated in the
community versions of the open source packages used. In this case, the source
code for the customizations is openly distributed. This creates the advantage that
further customizations can be developed independently, while still having the
option of receiving community support.
Hybrid Strategy
The previous two approaches can also be combined to maximize the strategic
advantage for your company. Some components might be better to keep protected,
while for others the advantage of community mainentenance might be greater. To
what extent this is possible depends greatly on the licenses that apply for the
software packages that are used.

In order to keep this page reasonably concise, and to guard against competitors, I
will not advertise the full range of successfully deployed services here. However, you
can get an idea about what is covered by reading about some more frequently needed
fields of work, SMTP and RADIUS.
Still, you might want to contact me also for other areas of custom IT in order to
discuss possibilities for collaboration.
